Some dinosaur names are quite long and difficult to remember, so try to teach the dinosaurs three at a time. Once your children know some of the dinosaurs, add another 2 each week! Remember to teach facts about each dinosaur. This will help the children remember the dinosaur names. The facts can be basic things like “A Raptor is fast” or “a stegosaurus eats plants.”
When teaching about dinosaurs, it is a great time to learn the words carnivore and herbivore. You can explain the concept simply by explaining that some dinosaurs eat other dinosaurs, and some dinosaurs only eat plants. Try making a grouping activity to check how much your children remember!
