Teach family members with these family flashcards! The flashcards include all family members, as well as also having more informal versions of family words like ‘mom’ and ‘dad’.

There are many sets available, so the teacher can choose which flashcards work best depending and the demographic of their country or area. Teachers can also alternate between sets if they like : ) . If your class contains a mixed demographic of students, I feel the best set is the Emoji style.

The best way to teach family structure is by creating a family tree on the whiteboard. Start with either the grandma and grandpa or the mother and father and work downward. You can reinforce what the children have learned by doing a family craft. These family flashcards work particularly well on Mother’s or Father’s day!
