Months Of The Year Flashcards

These months of the year flashcards come in 3 packs. The first Month cards teach the names of the months in a colorful and fun way. They use small calendar illustrations to enable more advanced questions for higher-level students.
The second pack is for more advanced learners and concentrate more on month order. This pack demonstrates how there are 12 months in a year. The cards also contain abbreviated month words used on calendars.
The final pack focuses on reading ordinal numbers. If the month flashcards are laminated, many activities can be played, including circling everyone’s birthday or talking about seasonal events at your school. What a fun way to learn how to read dates.
After children are confident with the month words, why not fill in the sections of the calendar and ask questions about the date. For example, January 1st could be highlighted to represent New years day, or students’ birthdays could be highlighted to create a birthday quiz. The more you play this game, the more your students will remember! As a bonus, I have included a FREE Months of the year poster and calendar!
